these extra-large paintings, each of a single fruit, were done in the winter of 2000-2001. after i spent the summer of 2000 painting fifty highly detailed paintings of the new york mets, i decided to paint big pictures with big brushes. they vary from 4 feet by 4 feet to 4 feet by 6 feet in size and are all acrylic on canvas.
